Mathieu Lanfant
Bonjour!
I was born and raised in Paris, France, and grew up traveling and discovering Normandy and Burgundy (where my parents are from). I was exposed to the best that these regions have to offer and thus developed a love of French cuisine, which inspired me to become a chef. After graduating from the Ecole Superieure de Cuisine Francaise - Ferrandi, Paris, I traveled abroad, discovering new places and further expanding my passion to experience local cultures. I eventually settled in New York where I opened a recreational cooking school, The Cooking Lab.
I cherish every opportunity I have to impart my culture and love of food and wine with others, so as a natural extension of my cooking school, I developed with my sister Laurence, Fleur de Lys Tours to share with friends our local expertise.

I have lived in France my entire life and adore exploring its different regions and cuisines. Prior to Fleur de Lys Tours, I spent more than 25 years organizing corporate retreats for a Fortune 500 company. From Dubai to San Francisco, Singapore to Sweden, whether it was a trip for 30 executives or 600, I took great pride in preparing every aspect of their travel experience, including discovering local food and culture. I have traveled the world and yet, I love exploring my country the most.
My brother Mathieu and I have carefully curated our Fleur de Lys Tours to showcase the best France has to offer. I can't wait to introduce you to all its varied landscapes, fascinating history, amazing gastronomy and of course, its art of living.
